 Å›rÄ«-Å›ukaḥ uvÄca - Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ« said; iti - thus spoken; tat - their; vacanam - words; Å›rutvÄ - having heard; vasudevaḥ - Vasudeva; mahÄ-manÄḥ - generous; tÄn - them; á¹›á¹£Ä«n - the sages; á¹›tvijaḥ - as priests; vavre - chose; mÅ«rdhnÄ - with his head; Änamya - bowing down; prasÄdya - gratifying them; ca - also.

Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ« said: After hearing these statements of the sages, generous Vasudeva bowed his head to the ground and, praising them, requested them to become his priests.
