'dhyeya-madhye jÄ«vera kartavya kon dhyÄna?'
'rÄdhÄ-kṛṣṇa-padÄmbuja-dhyÄna — pradhÄna'

 dhyeya-madhye - out of all types of meditation; jÄ«vera - of the living entity; kartavya - the duty; kon - what; dhyÄna - meditation; rÄdhÄ-kṛṣṇa-pada-ambuja - on the lotus feet of RÄdhÄ and Kṛṣṇa; dhyÄna - meditation; pradhÄna - is the chief.

ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu further inquired, “Out of many types of meditation, which is required for all living entities?â€

Purport

ÅšrÄ«la RÄmÄnanda RÄya replied, “The chief duty of every living entity is to meditate upon the lotus feet of RÄdhÄ and Kṛṣṇa.â€

ÅšrÄ«mad-BhÄgavatam (1.2.14) states:

tasmÄd ekena manasÄ bhagavÄn sÄtvatÄá¹ patiḥ
Å›rotavyaḥ kÄ«rtitavyaÅ› ca dhyeyaḥ pÅ«jyaÅ› ca nityadÄ

SÅ«ta GosvÄmÄ« replied to the sages headed by Åšaunaka, “Everyone should very attentively listen to the pastimes of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. One should glorify His activities and meditate upon Him regularly.â€
